
I recently saw a demo on Optimizely which is a DAM tool that focuses on streamlining content discovery and the repurposing of content. The target audience is for multiple production and marketing teams using the same DAM.
Some of the more interesting features of the software shown in the demo are –
Tagging Content – this best practice of tagging your content with type, target audience, topic/level and description. This metadata is searchable and makes it easier for teams to share and reusable content stored in the tool.
Auto asset renditions – auto generating various version of assets across different channels. This feature supports assets in CMS, social media channels, etc. Optimizely also offers integrable with upstream and downstream across totally different systems.
Repurposing content – Optimizely allows for omni-channel platform in a user defined experience. For instance, you can create product release templates as part of a “channel” where content could be repurposed. These user-defined channels can be created and stored when needed.
AI-generated tagging – impressive used of auto-tagging upon ingesting images, generative AI for text/images and auto locating of related images when working in the software. There is also focal point rendering in images in which AI is used to decide on what part of the image is important to focus on and crop to create a rendition.
AI as platform – Optimizely can be integrated or embedded with another AI platform that a company already has.
