History of Computers @ LiveScience

I recently read a wonderful article at LiveScience (https://www.livescience.com/20718-computer-history.html) about the history of computers. What I like about this historical treatment is that it is in long format organized through the centuries. There is a nice summary of Apple

The LiveScience article chronicles the contributions of Charles Babbage, Ada Lovelace in the 19th century to Alan Turing, Hewlett and Packard, in the Early 20th Century; to Grace Hopper, the DRAM chip, the floppy disk, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak with Apple in the Late 20th Century; to the 64-bit processor, Mozilla Firefox web browser, Google, Windows, in the 21st Century. This is just to name a few contributions.

There is a great FAQ section and additional resources worth reading as well.
